2015 Cabrinha Ace Kiteboard

Overview

The Ace is the entry level competion freestyle board that will make any session a fun one. The design on the Ace lends to the rider looking for comfortability in the chop. The smooth ride and liquid feel make loading up for tricks in punchy conditions little easier. This board will work well for those of you who like to ride a twin tip in the waves! As Cabrinha states, “The combination of wood core, with basalt laminate provides a flex characteristic which is unique to Cabrinha.” Those same materials used make the board light also. Even the largest size at 139cm still feels incredibly light. When testing this board we have only ridden it in chop and can attest to Cabrinha’s claims regarding the board’s effectivnes in rough conditions.

A noteworthy change for the 2015 Cabrinha Twin-Tip lineup is the fin systems.

GFN FINS

Our unique Hex Flow fins feature a hexagon dimpled pattern over the surface of the fin. The hex pattern helps to create a boundary layer which assists in the laminar flow over the fin.

It may sound hoaky, or overhyped but after riding the new boards, there is something to the fin design. The boards are all fast and flowy. They all have an easy relese when going into rotations or boosts. Every little detail helps!

Who For?

The Ace is for anyone really. If you ride hard core wakestyle, then go for the custom instead. If you ride competion freestyle at a high level, then stick with the x-caliber. If you want the best of both and need to have something that works in the ocean, waves and flat-water…then the Ace is a good in between for you. This makes the Ace an excellent travel companion thanks to it’s versatility. For a small twin-tip, the board is also pretty easy on the knees for those of you that have to think about injuries.
