What we think: If you’re wanting to learn to foil…this is a great board to do it on. It is really stable and easy to ride. Advanced foilers may find it a bit slow but still really fun. Great way to get into it. This is the board we use for our Foil Lessons. The Solo is an awesome kite for foiling and all around fun. The reduced weight offered by just having one strut really allows this kite to stay in the sky when the wind is light or gusty.

Your magic carpet board that will give you one of the closest feelings to flying is now in a fingertips reach.  Getting into hydrofoiling can quickly become a long process and expensive.  Liquid Force has changed that by making a foil that is user friendly to everyone from the beginner to the advanced level daily kiters.  To make this deal even sweeter you are not just getting a hydrafoil set up…. the board can detach (very easily) from the foil and is a fully functional kite surfboard.  The foil system is made up of a aluminum and a fiber glass molded foil wing set.  The aluminum gives the foil forgiveness in the impact department.  This allows your foil to take moderate impact with more forgivness then carbon can offer.  Looking at the wing set shows that Liquid Force thought it through the whole way.  Carbon is tough to repair where as a fiberglass wing that chips is a much easier fix that will add longevity to your wing set.  The board itself can be riden with or without the foil.  The board is a compression-moled design that adds ultimate durability to your hard shredding.

The design team started by working intensively on numerous Strut-less kite designs which took several months of testing and countless prototypes. These kites proved to be extremely lightweight with a great amount of raw power and possessed a very direct feel. Although these results proved to be successful there appeared multiple compromises in the performance that over shadowed the benefits of the Strut-less kite design that we were simply not willing to accept.

The SOLO evolved through multiple iterations from half struts to battens that eventually led to a very thin, low profile center strut. Our dream that became a vision is now a reality called the SOLO, An ultra light weight, single strut design that offers unparallel efficiency, stability and wind range of any kite on the market today with the added benefit of pack ability for travel.
