2025 North Reach Kite

$1,445.00$1,799.00

Includes: Kite, Kite Bag, Repair Kit

Lively, nimble, and easy to ride, the Reach is our most versatile go-to kite in all conditions. For 2025, we’ve introduced an N-Max2 airframe for lightweight durability, improved the low end, and added more depower. The new Reach has a more swept design, slightly higher aspect ratio, and refined bridle positioning points for a playful, smoother and faster-flying kite with more direct steering and dynamic recovery.

Features

  • 13-19m faster flying in light wind
  • Improved low-end and depower
  • More playful and smoother flying
  • Better upwind performance
  • Wider wind range

Materials

  • Durable, lightweight N-Max2 Airframe
  • N-HTRS High Tenacity Ripstop Canopy
  • Lightweight bladders (all sizes)
  • DuraLite Seam Protectors

Technical Features

Durable and Lightweight N-Max2 Pro Airframe

The lighter the kite, the more efficiently it flies, the greater the performance in lighter winds, the faster the steering, the more lift created and the higher you jump. For 2025 we’ve continued to use the least amount of Dacron possible on the kite for weight savings. We’ve used a two-ply canopy material along the trailing edge for optimal steering and performance, without compromising strength or durability. And we’ve used Airlite bladders in all sizes – bladders make up a bigger weight percentage than any other material used in a kite.

Boosts and loops with a smooth reliable catch
During a loop, many kites will pause before they climb back up, but the Reach has a smooth, consistent catch and doesn’t hesitate to come back around.
Direct and Responsive Steering
Refined tuning of the short responsive bridle and bridle positioning points gives the Reach quick, exponential depower, allowing you to ride it in an even wider range of conditions. The bar pressure and steering impulse can be adjusted on the wing tip, allowing you to fine-tune the kite’s characteristics to your personal preference.
Massive wind range and upwind drive
This results in an even more aerodynamic and efficient airflow and less turbulence. The Reach canopy is constructed from North High Tenacity Ripstop (N-HTRS) polyester yarn canopy material for lightness, high tear strength, zero porosity and longevity.
DuraLite seam protection
Due to inflation and steering movement, the closing seam of the leading edge experiences a great deal of force. We’ve used a lightweight higher-tensile thread for the leading edge seams, one with a higher breaking strength and better shock-absorbing qualities. Similar to the lines on a parachute, which undergo a high amount of movement and elongation, this thread has improved fatigue, impact and wear resistance.
Improved low end and depower
The combination of lighter-weight materials with these design elements gives the kite a surprisingly light bar pressure, fast turning speed and fore and aft balance. The larger 13 to 19m Reach are optimised to get you up and riding with a power-hungry twintip like the new Trace in just 8 knots. We recommend you select your lightwind kite size according to rider weight rather than wind range. We recommend the 13m for lighter riders (under 70kg), the 17m for heavier riders (over 85kg) and the new 19m for riders over 100kg.
Highest quality no-pulley, low drag bridle lines
Removing ALL pulleys from the bridle improves safety and gives the kite direct and precise handling. The result is lower drag, more accuracy and a more direct feeling.
